BARPETA, Sept 19 - The State Government has taken a number of steps to develop the education sector.
This was disclosed by Minister for Handloom Textiles and Sericulture Ranjit Dutta while inaugurating a digital classroom here.
Addressing a meeting organised in this connection, he said that the State Government is planning to make over 1,000 digital classrooms across the State. �The move is aimed at improving the education system. Moreover, it will attract more and more students,� he claimed.
MLA of Sarbhog constituency and president of the State unit of the BJP Ranjit Kumar Dass, Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta Munindra Sarma and several other dignitaries attended the inaugural function.
Administration holds meet with Puja committees: The Barpeta district administration held a series of meetings with various Puja committees about security and cleanliness recently.
Deputy Commissioner Munidra Sarma appealed to the Puja committees to keep Puja pandals free from plastic bags.
