Gogoi was accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police Longnit Terrang.

The police officer talked with a few leading people of the area and a few members from the general public to learn more about the road blockade and the consequent police firing incident. He also questioned some policemen in Rajgarh police outpost about the incident.

My visit was primarily to get ground information about the happening from the people of the incident site, DIG told The Assam Tribune.

Meanwhile, the district administration has informed that Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakhi Nandan Gogoi, who has been deputed to conduct the inquiry, will be available at the office of the Tingkhong Circle Office in Rajgarh from 10 am tomorrow for hearing from the general public about the incident. Individuals, organisations or families who are witnesses or whoever has any information about the fateful incident, has been asked to depose before the Magistrate.

Normalcy is limping back in the area with the passage of time. Vehicles are plying freely and other usual businesses have begun. Sarojini tea estate, which was paralysed due to the development, is now running normally.
