DIBRUGARH, Oct 30 - Dibrugarh University and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently to strengthen industry-academia linkage by adopting acceptable means for mutual benefit of both the institutions and look to develop a closer relationship to help promote interests.
Professor Alak Kumar Buragohain, Vice-Chancellor, Dibrugarh University, Professor MN Dutta, Registrar, Dibrugarh University, Professor PK Barua, Dean, Research and Development, Dibrugarh University, Dr Bhupati Kumar Das, Emeritus Professor, Dibrugarh University, SK Barua, Director, Finance, NRL, AK Bhattacharya, Human Resource, NRL were present during the undertaking of the MoU.
The Dibrugarh University authorities hope that the considerable practical expertise of NRL shall support a healthy academic research in Dibrugarh University. In the spirit and context of the purpose of this MoU, the parties agreed to assist each other, to be committed to professional excellence, to communicate on a regular basis and to encourage effective co-operation between NRL and Dibrugarh University.
The participating Departments and Centres of Dibrugarh University under this Understanding are Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET), Department of Petroleum Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Department of ComputerScience and Engineering and few others, a release stated.
