The festival, organised by the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) with the cooperation of District Administration and other departments of the district, has became a show case of the rich cultural and traditional heritages of the various ethnic groups of the district. The festival provides information about various welfare schemes of the different departments of the government to the public under a single umbrella. This year, the district unit of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) arranged a free medical health check-up camp on first two days of the festival. Awareness programmes on rural development programme, like MNREGA, SGSY, IAY, SSA etc. will be held on January 10.
