GUWAHATI, March 12 - Assam Pharmaceutical Association (APA), an organisation of depots/C&FA/CSA/super stockists of all pharmaceutical companies in the North East is celebrating its diamond jubilee with a year-long programme.
As part of the celebration APA undertook activities like donating musical instruments to the Blind School, Basistha and providing one day�s meal to the students of the school. APA has also conducted health camps and distributed free medicines at many flood relief camps in Kamrup district, according to a press release here.
APA has also been conducting meetings, seminars and conventions on health issues. It also organised a friendly cricket tournament amongst the teams of its member firms at the Latasil playground in which eight teams participated. Prizes were distributed by chief guest Sanjive Narain, CMD, Prag Group and Pranoy Bordoloi, managing editor, Prag News. BM Pharmaceuticals emerged winner of the cricket tournament.
As part of the diamond jubilee celebration, APA will felicitate the best medical graduate and best pharmacy graduate of Assam, Padma Shri recipient Dr Ilias Ali at Vivanta by Taj on March 24, the release added.
