GUWAHATI, Nov 11 - With an aim to create awareness amongst the general masses and in conjunction with World Diabetes Day, Hayat Hospital is organising a competitive marathon on November 14, for the third time in a row.
Chief general manager of the hospital Ayaskanta Chakraborty said the threat of diabetes, which is worldwide, has now increased manifold in Assam. This year, the mega awareness run is being organised at the Khanapara Veterinary College ground at 5 am on November 14 on the occasion. It will feature a 5-km and a 10-km run.
General manager of the hospital Paragjyoti Dutta said Hrishikesh Goswami, Media Advisor to CM and Minister of State for Health Pijush Hazarika would be attending the event, besides others. The event is being held in association with the SBI.
