Dhubri dist witnessing rise in positive cases

DHUBRI, July 28 - Although the community spread of COVID-19 has not yet been confirmed by the district administration, there has been a spike in infections during the last few days in Dhubri district.

On Tuesday, 22 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected, while on Monday, 63 such cases were found in Dhubri district. Nine more persons from the district were found positive outside the district.

However, according to COVID-19 checklist till the filing of this report, 629 persons have recovered and have been released and most of them are now under home quarantine, leaving 259 active cases.

Talking to this correspondent through text message, Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Ananat Lal Gyani said the district administration is doing its best to check if there is any community spread of the disease.

Till today, the district health services along with the district administration have increased the number of tests that are being done in the district.
