GUWAHATI, Aug 16 - Dhrupad Kashyap of Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti won the Akshayam Independence Day Inter School Chess Championship held at Aarohan here on Wednesday.

The championship was organised by Assam Chess Club where 82 players from various city based schools took part. The tournament was conducted by Fide arbiter Swaraj Buragohain as chief arbiter and Ravikant Tiwari as assistant arbiter. Delhi Public School, Guwahati got the best school participant award.
