JORABAT, Jan 19 - The Dimoria AASU unit felicitated veteran tabla and dhol exponent of Dimoria Bankhidhar Gogoi with a gamusa, a silpi bota and other gifts at a cultural programme organised in Sonapur on Sunday.
Gogoi also happens to be a retired teacher, having taught in various educational institutions of Dimoria region.
Various other events marked the programme, organised by Dimoria AASU unit to pay tribute to Rupkonwar Jyotiprasad Agarwala. In the morning a drawing competition was held among school students. In the evening beautifully dressed youths of Dimoria area performed dances of different communities of Assam.
A skit on the life of Rupkonwar was also performed under the leadership of Dimoria AASU leader Barasha Medhi.
