GUWAHATI, Oct 8 � Opening batsman Dhiraj Yadav and all rounder Gokul Sharma have been included in the 15-member East Zone team for the Duleep Trophy.
Subharajit Saikia will be the coach of the team which will be led by Odisha�s Nataraj Behera.
Assam Cricket Association secretary Bikash Baruah informed that the selection was made in Ranchi today where Assam players were picked as per their performances in the last Ranji Trophy season.
East Zone will play against South Zone at Visakhapatanam from October 14.
The team: Nata M Mraj Behera (Capt), Basant Mohanty (pacer), Biplab Samantray (all rounder), Alok Mangaraj (pacer- all four from Odisha), SP Goutam (WK), Saurav Tiwari, M Bardhan, S Quadri, Ishank Jaggi (all five from Jharkhand), Dhiraj Yadav (Opener-Assam), Gokul Sharma (all rounder-both from Assam) A Mazumdar (middle order), I Saxena (pacer), Ashok Dinda (pacer- all three from Bengal) and Mura Singh (all rounder - Tripura). Assam�s S Saikia is the coach of the team.
