Dhemaji LAC to have 13 all-women polling stations

Dhemaji, March 19: Dhemaji district administration has arranged 356 polling stations for the upcoming Assam Assembly Election. They have been divided into 5 zones and 30 sections.

Out of them, a total of 13 polling stations in the urban area of Dhemaji town have been assigned as all-women polling stations which will be conducted by women polling officials, women security personnel and women staff.

As informed by the election cell of Dhemaji district administration, 3 of such all-women polling stations have been alloted in Dhemaji Town High School, 3 in Dhemaji College, 2 in Dhemaji Town LP School, 2 in Borpataria LP School and 3 centres in Dhemaji Town Balya Bidyapeeth School.

The total number of voters who are to cast their votes in the ensuing assembly polls in the No 113 Dhemaji LAC is 2,47,207 out of whomever 1,24,668 are male and 1,22,543 are female.
