DHEMAJI, Nov 9 - Two youths of Gogamukh in Dhemaji district � Bapi Dutta (32) and Bapan Roy (28) � have been missing since Saturday following a boat mishap that took place in the Subansiri river on that day.
Nine youths of Gogamukh had reportedly gone for a picnic on Saturday on the Sonaput island under the Gogamukh Police Station. While returning, unfortunately, their boat sank in the middle of the river.
Hearing a hue and cry, some boatmen, who were moving in the river, rowed towards the submerged boat and managed to save seven of the youths with the help of some local people, but failed to find two others.
A team of SDRF is conducting a search, but, till the filing of this report, the two missing youths have remained untraced.
