HAFLONG, Aug 14 - The 10-hour Dima Hasao bandh called by Dima Hasao District Congress Committee (DHDCC) on Monday passed off peacefully with no reports of any untoward incident.
Most of the offices, banks and markets remained closed though a few Government offices remained open with thin attendance. Vehicles too were off the road during the bandh hours.
The 10-hour bandh was called by Dima Hasao DCC demanding immediate arrest of Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member of NCHAC, immediate dissolution of the executive committee headed by Debolal Gorlosa and taking over administrative charge of NCHAC by the Governor.
Normal life was affected at Harangajao, Umrangso, Mahur and Diyungbra, but in places like Maibang, Kalachand, Langting and Gunjung, the impact of the bandh was partial.
