KOKRAJHAR, Dec 13 - Kokrajhar district police today organised a ceremonial distribution of DGP commendation certificates to the awardees at Kokrajhar SP office conference hall.
Altogether 39 top-ranking officers and constables of Assam Police serving in Kokrajhar received the DGP commendation certificates from the invited guests and dignitaries.
Dr LR Bishnoi, ADGP, BTAD & Railway, Assam; Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar, Bhaskar Das including top-ranking security officers from SSB & CRPF attended the ceremony and handed over the DGP commendation certificates to the awardees in the presence of a huge gathering.
�We earned the awards in such big numbers only because of the joint efforts of all the personnel of different security forces and agencies working in BTAD area,� said ADGP of BTAD & Railway, Assam, Dr LR Bishnoi. Dr Bishnoi also thanked the Assam government for extending all possible help and support to fight against the terrorists in BTAD area in general and Kokrajhar district in particular.
