GUWAHATI, Feb 27 � Senior Assam Police official Sharada Prasad has moved the Gauhati High Court seeking its intervention regarding delay in the pronouncement of judgment by the Central Administration Tribunal(CAT).
Prasad had moved the CAT challenging the appointment of Sankar Barua as DGP, Assam over him.
M Chand, advocate representing Prasad informed that though CAT, as per rules, should have pronounced the judgment or set a date for it within 21 days since the final, the same did not happen till date. The final hearing took place on November 16.
�My client has therefore moved the court for enforcement of the law of the land,� he added.
