GUWAHATI, Jan 28: The 44th Management Development Programme for senior supervisors of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) started on Wednesday at Maligaon.

The programme was inaugurated by NFR General Manager Anshul Gupta in presence of all heads of departments of NFR.

Railway Board’s former chairman Ashwini Lohani also virtually addressed the inaugural function as a special invitee.

“Management Development Programmes for senior subordinates and senior supervisors have been conducted regularly by our zone since 2009. There are many advantages of conducting such programmes, including a general improvement in the attitude of the participants and enrichment of knowledge, apart from improving public speaking skills. A lot of managerial problems and their solutions were discussed by the field functionaries. Besides, field-level supervisors need to update their knowledge about technological changes in Indian Railways so that they can adapt and implement those in the fields to ensure safety and punctuality,” said Subhanan Chanda, Chief Public Relations Officer of the NFR. The programme will conclude tomorrow.
