Dergaon boy leaves for Nat�l Children Science Congress

DERGAON, Dec 24 - Sribatsa Pachani, a student of Kuralguri Higher Secondary School has left for Bhubaneswar to attend the 26th edition of National Children Science Congress (NCSC) to be held from December 26 to 31.

The Class-IX student will present his project on: �Alternative of synthetic thread: Natural thread�. Through the project, Sribatsa has prepared several items like clothes, bags, embroidered handkerchief from the fibres of banana plantain, which are eco-friendly.

The project, carried out under sub-theme �Environmental Conservation� was completed under the guidance of the Principal of the school Jyoti Kumari Sarma in association with Trinayan Sarma as co-worker.

Being the lone student selected from Golaghat district to the national event, his success was widely lauded by all in the district, including the Inspector of Schools of Golaghat district Dr Samiran Bora and local MLA Mrinal Saikia.

It may be pertinent to mention here that Parishmita Bora of the same school was also the only student from Golaghat district to the NCSC in 2017.
