NEW DELHI, March 7 - Former Supreme Court judge Ranjana Prakash Desai will head the Delimitation Commission that will redraw Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly constituencies of the northeastern states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland, a Law Ministry notification has said.
Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and a representative of the state election commission of the four northeastern states will be the ex officio members, the notification said. The commission will delimit the constituencies of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland in accordance with the provisions of the Delimitation Act, 2002, the notification added.
