DElEd students given farewell at Dergaon Basic Training Centre

DERGAON, June 4 - A farewell meeting to bid adieu to the fourth semester diploma students in Elementary Education (DElEd) through face mode under the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) was held at Dergaon Basic Training Centre (DBTC) recently.

A meeting held on the occasion was chaired by the Principal of DBTC Usha Mahanta while the objectives were explained by Nayanmoni Sonowal.

Taking part as a distinguished guest, the Academic Counsellor of IGNOU DKD College Study Centre, Department of Library and Information Science and part time counsellor of DElEd course in ODL mode Sanjoy Kumar Hazarika said that teachers were the ultimate engineers of a society.

He urged the students to keep in touch with the centre, and after being established, to think for the developments of their alma mater.

The retired Principal of Rawnapara Basic Training Centre in river island Majuli, Ramesh Baruah urged the students to use the knowledge gathered during the two-year course for appropriate use at the field level.

The meeting was also addressed by the faculties of the centre, namely Mitali Bhuyan, Jonali Devi, Gitali Das, Luckymoon Dhekial Phukan, among others.
