Defaulters warned to deposit arms

AALO, April 4 - In a cautionary order issued by West Siang District Magistrate, all arms licence holders in the district have been warned to deposit their arms to nearest police stations in view of simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha election, an official press release said.

Though the notice was served quite sometime back, many of the arm licence holders have failed to do so till date. As a follow up action, the seizing and process of cancellation of arm licences in respect of defaulters shall be initiated from April 5, the release added.

Meanwhile, the final round of election training will be imparted to all officials on election duties on April 8, 9 and 10.
