Decision to withdraw train stoppage opposed

PATACHARKUCHI, Sept 11 � The Pathsala Chambers of Commerce and the Pathsala Bazaar Committee, in a joint statement, opposed the decision of the Railway authorities to withdraw the stoppage of the up and down Kamrup Express train at the Pathsala station with effect from September 1.

Hitesh Talukdar and Jiten Talukdar, president and secretary respectively of the Pathsala Chambers of Commerce, and Hriday Ranjan Patgiri and Girish Patgiri, president and secretary respectively of the Pathsala Bazaar Committee, in the joint press statement, threatened to undertake agitation programmes like blockade of trains at the Pathsala station. They said that the Railway�s move would affect the passengers in the greater Bajali area and demanded immediate withdrawal of the decision.
