DIPHU, Jan 2 - The Hills Area Development (HAD) Minister, Government of Assam, Kharsing Engti has thanked Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi for declaring Howraghat as a new subdivision.
While lauding the innovative steps taken up by the Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister, Engti said that it was the long-standing demand of the people of Howraghat and the historic demand was fulfilled on Friday.
Engti said that maximum development has been ensured in Karbi Anglong and for its people. The new subdivision will be a step forward for the progress of Karbi Anglong.
Engti said that in order to facilitate young players, a number of proposals of luxurious projects have been submitted to the State Government to upgrade the Pan Engti playground and the Howraghat stadium.
He further said that the Pan Engti playground will be turned into a football stadium. On the hand, the Howraghat stadium will be constructed, especially as a cricket stadium. Both the stadiums will be constructed and made available with required modern facilities for sports, HAD Minister added.
