HAFLONG, June 10 - Debolal Gorlosa has been selected as the parliamentary leader of BJP in Dima Hasao and has also been nominated for the post of the Chief Executive Member of the NC Hills Autonomous Council. This was disclosed by the Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was here at Haflong today.
Gorlosa was selected as the consensus candidate for the post of CEM as well as BJP parliamentary leader after a prolong discussion with BJP MACs of the NCHAC.
Earlier, two names � Prakanta Warisa and Niranjan Hojai � were in the round. The decision was taken in the presence of MLA Bir Bhadra Hagjer.
Talking to media-persons, Dr Sarma assured the people of Dima Hasao that he would again visit the district in the later part of July and would stay here for a few days to assess the problems and possibilities in the district.
