AGARTALA, June 24 - Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has warned civil service officers against unauthorised leakage of official information to the media.
He said that the State Government has a full-fledged department of Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) to disseminate information to the media but a section of vested interest groups were leaking out sensitive information including contents of discussion in a Cabinet meeting to the media in advance.
He said this while addressing a programme of Tripura Civil Service Officers� Association (TCSOA) at Saheed Bhagat Singh Yuba Awas here on Sunday night.
The Chief Minister asked the officers and employees in the administration to be on guard against unauthorised leakage of information which causes confusion in the minds of people.
Deb called upon officers to remain above politics as the incumbent State Government does not believe in involving officers and employees in politics.
