LUMDING, June 5 - The death anniversary of Loknath Baba was celebrated here at the temple premises of South Hill Colony, Lumding in a befitting manner on Saturday.
The programme began with chanting from the Bhagvad Geeta and naamkeertan. This was followed by fetching water from ponds in the morning for the adhibasa of Loknath. This was followed by worshipping of Baba Loknath in the temple by a large number of devotees with the help of the members of the committee of Loknath Temple. It was followed by puja with bhoga at noon with namkeertan and religious songs. In the evening, prasad was distributed among thousands of people irrespective of caste, community and religion. The celebration ended at midnight. The day was also celebrated in the Loknath Temple near the Vivekananda Stadium, Lumding.
