GUWAHATI, Oct 13 � Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro Dr M Angamuthu today inspected the Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) to take stock of the condition of the morgue and other issues in the hospital, an official statement said.
The hospital authority, represented by GMCH superintendent Dr Ramen Talukdar apprised the DC about the need for a cold room to keep the decomposed bodies.
The hospital superintendent also pointed out the need of traffic control in front of the hospital as well as along the road passing by the mortuary.
Angamuthu also inspected the road and instructed concerned officials to take necessary steps for renovation of the road.
He instructed the PWD authorities to dispose of the unused incinerators and scraps immediately so that a cold room could be constructed as required by the hospital.
