By Correspondent

TURA, March 3 - Continuing their demand for a new C&RD Block to be carved out from the present blocks of Resubelpara and Kharkutta, residents of Daindubi, under the aegis of the Dainadubi C&RD Block Demand Committee met once again to find the way forward. The meeting was held at Wageasi School in Dainadubi in North Garo Hills district.

Representatives of the demand committee had earlier met Chief Minister Conrad Sangma seeking a new Block to be created for the betterment of the people of the area as well as to bring administration closer to them.

The demand committee yesterday held a meeting with the 52 Nokmas (village headmen) whose land would be part of the new C&RD Block. A rally to press the demand would be taken out in Dainadubi on March 9.
