DIBRUGARH, Jan 12 - In an attempt to popularise cycling, a mega cycle rally has been organised on January 17 morning across five places in the state � Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Nagaon, Bongaigaon and Guwahati.
The main objective of the rally is to promote cycling for a better health, pollution-free environment and cost effective conveyance besides creating awareness on cycling.
The rally is open for people of all ages and sections of the society. The rally will also create awareness on reducing usage of petrol and other fossil fuels. No prior registration is required and anybody can join the rally on the spot on that day.
The rally has been organised by TV news channel Assam Talks.
