GUWAHATI, Oct 19 - The third edition of Chimera 2018, an annual cultural event for students organized by socio-cultural organisation �Amrapali�, is going to be held here from October 27 to 29 with various competitions.

�This year, the Chimera will be holding around 15 to 16 competitions at varied levels and venues,� a statement issued by the organisers said.

The competitions will be held among students from the nursery level to Class XII in fields like Olympiad, dance, singing, instrumental music, drama, mono acting, creative writing, art, children's fashion show, aspiring designers, etc. The International Youth Arts Olympiad, which will be held as part of the event, will be based on a questionnaire specifically designed on subjects like arts, culture and heritage.

The prize distribution ceremony of the event will be held on November 2 in the District Library auditorium here and the Governor of Assam will attend it.

The event is being organised in collaboration with the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Assam, Directorate of State Museum, Assam, Kamrup Metro district administration, Oil India Limited, etc.

The online registration for the event is under way on the Amrapali website.
