SHILLONG, Aug 19 - The NEEPCO on Monday inaugurated two CSR initiatives at Shillong where Director (Technical) U Moral along with officials MS Jwyra, PS Deb and others were present.
With an objective to promote education, NEEPCO has identified Assamese LP School, Malki, established in 1952, for overall infrastructural development. A cheque of Rs12,45000 was handed over to the president of the school managing committee.
Further, NEEPCO in association with Women for Integrated Sustainable Empowerment (WISE) centre St. Mary�s convent Laitumkhrah has targeted skill upgradation programme for the underprivileged women like school dropouts, single mothers and domestic helps for their livelihood and income generation.
A cheque of Rs. 7,30,400 was handed over to Sr Judith Shadap, executive director, WISE.
