CSIR-NEIST, down town varsity ink MoU

GUWAHATI, June 17 - Assam down town University and CSIR-North Eastern Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, signed an MoU on Tuesday to continue their collaborative ventures.

The MoU seeks to promote cooperation in scientific education and research between the two institutions. Dr NN Dutta, Chancellor, Assam down town University, and Dr G Narahari Sastry, Director, CSIR-North Eastern Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat, inked the MoU, a press release said.

The signing ceremony was started with a warm welcome address by Dr Sastry, who presented an overview of the research and development activities undertaken at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat.

Nishan Kakati, research coordinator, Assam down town University, gave away a brief appraisal about the research activities undertaken by the university and benefits obtained under the MoU with CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, during the period � 2015-2020.
