DIMAPUR, Sept 9 - Department of Information Technology and Communication Nagaland in collaboration with Computer Society of India (CSI), Mumbai formally launched CSI 75th Nagaland chapter to promote IT knowledge and IT expertise further. Parliamentary Secretary IT Dr Longriniken launched the CSI branch at Directorate of IT and C in Kohima yesterday.
Dr Longriniken, speaking on the occasion, said CSI Nagaland chapter will open new doors and opportunities for the youths and professionals in the State. He stated that Nagaland although a late starter in IT field has been able to make considerable progress in the IT development in the State.
He said that the e-governance initiative of the Government of Nagaland will help realise the social and economic development goals of the State. The legislator urged the people to take advantage of the technology through e-governance in providing a SMART (simple, manageable, approachable, responsive and transparent) Government to the people.
