GUWAHATI, April 3 - The 128 Battalion of CRPF celebrated its raising day at the Battalion Headquarters at IOC complex Noonmati on Saturday, said a statement issued today.
At the start of the event Surjit Kumar Atri, Commandant of 128 Battalion, paid tribute to martyrs of the unit who have made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. It was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony. A fair, games and sports were also organised on the occasion.
In the evening a cultural programme was organised where Hiren Chandra Nath, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, was the chief guest. The daylong event concluded with distribution of trophies and commendation certificates to various personnel of the unit for their commendable services.
