JORABAT, March 1 - The CRPF Guwahati Group Centre at 9th Mile, Amerigog today celebrated its 42nd establishment day in their GC campus playground. It was on this day in 1975 that this paramilitary force campus was centrally set up in the 9th Mile area.

The programme was attended by around 600 CRPF jawans and officials of the GC campus and also their families.

The programme was inaugurated by MR Hussain, DIG, NE region, who was accompanied by his wife. They were accompanied by Sanjeeb Ray, Commandant GC, Guwahati; Sailendra Kumar, Deputy Commandant, GC, Guwahati; PK Das, Assistant Commandant, GC, Guwahati and other high-ranking officials along with their families.

Stalls of food items prepared by various battalions of the CRPF were set up at the celebration venue.

A cultural programme was also organised, where the children of CRPF jawans and officials took part.

Speaking to media persons, Sanjeeb Ray said that such celebrations enabled the jawans and officials posted at the campus to have a sense of relaxation and take some time out from the usual routine.
