GUWAHATI, May 18 - Rani Coaching Centre clinched the title in the inter club football championship, organised by the 175 Bn, CRPF under the Civic Action Programme.
In the keenly contested final, played at the Rani High School playground, near here yesterday, Rani Coaching Centre edged past Bahupara Naba Juba Shangha 1-0.
The tournament was inaugurated on May 12 where eight teams from the Rani area took part.
Dr MK Tamuli, Deputy Director, National Research Centre on Pig, Rani was the chief guest in the closing function and he distributed the prizes. The champions and runners up team were presented Rs 8000 and Rs 6000 respectively along with trophies.
I Lokendra Singh, Commandant 175 Bn, CRPF; Jayanti Rabha, secretary, Rabha Hashang Autonomous Council along with officers of the 175 Bn, CRPF were also present in the closing function, stated a release.
