CRPF DG visits Meghalaya

GUWAHATI, May 6 - CRPF DG RR Bhatnagar visited field formations in Meghalaya today. He camped in Meghalaya for two days as part of his official tour.

The DG CRPF visited 67 Bn CRPF in Shillong and interacted with the troops. He exhorted the troops to work hard to maintain peace and tranquillity in North East, a release issued here said.

He asked senior officers to pay attention towards the living condition and welfare of men. He visited the hospital and enquired about the health facilities. DG CRPF asked the men to maintain cordial relationship with other organisations and the general public. A Sainik Sammelan was also conducted wherein the DG interacted personally with the troops. Problems projected by the men were solved on the spot.

The DG CRPF along with IG Prakash D called on Meghayala Governor Tathagata Roy at Raj Bhavan. He apprised the Governor about the role played by CRPF in bringing peace in this region. The Governor appreciated the role played by the CRPF and congratulated all the officers and men, the release added.
