GUWAHATI, May 23 - Former State-level cricketer and a coach under the Assam Cricket Association (ACA), Utpal Kalita died on the spot in a road accident yesterday.
Kalita (36), was on his way to his Bapuji Nagar residence in Goalpara from here and met with the accident at Balbala near Goalpara.
He was a member of the coaching staff of the ACA Academy.
On behalf of the ACA, president Romen Dutta and secretary Devajit Saikia condoled the untimely demise of the promising coach.
He leaves behind his mother and a brother.
