MANGALDAI, Jan 20 - In a bid to tap the budding cricketing talents from financially weaker families in and around Mangaldai and groom them the Mangaldai Sports Association (MSA) has started a coaching academy under the technical support from Assam Cricket Association.
Local MLA and the president of the MSA Gurujyoti Das on Saturday afternoon formally inaugurated the academy at the Mangaldai Stadium in presence of several office bearers of the organisation and BCCI recognised pitch curator Mukut Kalita among others. A total of 28 young cricketers, including two girls have registered their names on the inaugural day.
