GUWAHATI, March 19 - The CPI(ML) Liberation has decided to refrain from contesting in any of the constituencies of Assam in the Lok Sabha polls and will instead support other Left parties.

Even though we had initially considered contesting from Dibrugarh, we have now decided not to put up our own candidate from any seat in the coming elections to prevent fragmentation of anti-BJP votes. Rather, we will support candidates of other Left parties. In the constituencies where there are no Left candidates in the fray, we will urge the electorate to cast their votes for other anti-BJP parties, said Bibek Das, central committee member of CPI(ML) Liberation.
