The party workers also held a meeting at the venue of protest. CPI (ML) Liberation-affiliated Assam Sangrami Chah Shramik Sangha central leader Ghanashyam Munda presided over the meeting. The meeting was addressed by party leaders Mira Tanti and Subhrajyoti Vardhan.
The speakers said after the BJP came to power in 2014 by promising acche din, the people of this country have been attacked from all fronts. While communal tension is brewing, attacks on Dalits, women, tribals, Adivasis and Muslims are also continuing. Problems like unemployment, corruption, corporate loot and prices of commodities are rising alarmingly throughout the country, the party stated.
