SIVASAGAR, Oct 11 - CPI Sivasagar district council organised a rally in front of the Deputy Commissioner�s office yesterday against rising prices of the petroleum products, essential commodities and the electricity charges.
Kanak Gogoi,district secretary of the party, Dharma Baruah, state executive member, Muhi Baruah, workers� leader, Jogesh Buragohain, farmers� leader and students� leader Juganta Pathak addressed the gathering and made a scathing attack on NDA government for its alleged failure in checking price rise. Later, the members submitted a memorandum to the DC, Sivasagar.
