MANGALDAI, Nov 26 - At a time when many states are witnessing a spurt in COVID-19 cases, the scenario in Darrang district is stated to be satisfactory.
Since Wednesday, there has been only two fresh cases, and the cumulative figure of COVID-positive cases reached 4,378, Health department sources said.
The number of active cases is 19 till Wednesday, and among these, two are undergoing treatment at the GMCH, seven at the district hospital here and the rest 10 are in home isolation.
The district has recorded 43 deaths � of which 17 were due to COVID and the rest are non-COVID deaths. The Health department source stated that the positivity rate in the district stood at around 2.85 per cent with the detection of 2,864 cases against 1,00,609 RATs.
A total of 4,681 RT-PCR tests were also conducted against the total RAT cases.
