DHUBRI, July 25 - After finding a number of COVID-19 positive cases in the district, especially in Gauripur town area, the total number of such positive cases in Dhubri district has jumped to 767.
Ward No. 2 and 9 of Gauripur town have already been declared containment zones and a rapid antigen kit test for the COVID-19 has also been organised in the town.
According to COVID-19 checklist, 762 cases have been detected from inside the district and five others from outside the district, who are residents of Dhubri district. However, 603 COVID-19 patients inside the district have recovered, leaving 159 active cases.
Meanwhile health officials said that they were looking for signs of community spread in Dhubri district, especially in Gauripur area. He also added that community spread of the virus would be confirmed only after the entire rapid antigen test results from Gauripur were received.
