AGARTALA, Aug 5 - Tripura recorded two more COVID-19 deaths and 125 new cases during the past 24 hours, a medical bulletin issued by the State Health Department stated here today.
With the latest deaths, the death toll has risen to 30 in Tripura, while the total caseload has touched 5,662.
Both the COVID-19 victims were elderly persons suffering from comorbidities. �They came to the hospital very late,� said a senior doctor of the GB Pant Hospital here.
Meanwhile, the recovery rate of the State has touched 67 per cent. Till date, altogether 3,725 patients have been released from hospitals after testing negative. Lockdown guidelines will remain in force in the containment zones till August 8, while elsewhere in the State, they are being relaxed.
