GUWAHATI, March 19 - The Assam State Legal Services Authority (ASLSA) conducted an audio-visual coronavirus awareness drive in the city on Wednesday.

According to a press release, the ASLSA�s legal services mobile utility van traversed in and around the premises of Gauhati High Court, Court of District and Sessions Judge Kamrup (Metro), Chief Judicial Magistrate (Establishment) and other prime locations with stoppages in a few selected areas for high public reach.

The van, equipped with latest technology gadgets, displayed informative video clippings prepared by the World Health Organisation and the National Health Mission, Assam on how the virus spreads and how it can be combated. In addition, a message developed in the State language by an ASLSA team on precautions to be adopted to avoid the virus, was also played during short intervals over the microphone as part of the alertness drive which would be continued for a few days.

Drive by Arya Vidyapeeth College team: The Department of Zoology, Arya Vidyapeeth College, today conducted a COVID-19 awareness programme in the vicinity of the college campus. Pamphlets, containing related information for common public and hand sanitisers were distributed among the traders and other people, said a press release.
