By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Feb 28 - The Court of Special Judge, Assam today allowed another two months time to Dibrugarh Police to carry out further investigation and to submit the status report on April 28 in connection with the cash-for-jobs scam in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).

The additional time was allowed in response to the status report filed by Dibrugarh police on Monday in the form of up-to-date case diary in the presence of additional special prosecutors Nayan Das and Pranab Das.

As was prayed the additional time has been allowed as evidence has surfaced against several political bigwigs of the erstwhile Congress regime, which include former Cabinet Minister Gautam Roy who was quizzed on Monday.

There are reports that more such political big names could also come into play either as an accused or as a witness.
