GUWAHATI, Nov 19 - The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) conducted a certificate course on pain and palliative care at the State Cancer Institute, GMCH, recently, stated a press release issued here today.
Altogether 21 trainees from all over Assam, including the medical colleges, were taken in the first batch. The training consists of two days� contact session followed by distant learning education for two months.
On successful completion of the course, the candidates will be given certificates to practise pain & palliative care. The course will be conducted twice a year and will generate palliative care specialists to serve the State in general and the upcoming cancer hospitals in particular.
