CoSAAP claims total success of 2-day stir

ITANAGAR, Oct 22 - Functioning of the State Government offices across Arunachal Pradesh was affected for second successive day on Friday as the State Government employees were on a two-day pens & tools down strike in protest against the government�s failure to fulfil their charter of demands.

The State Government employees turned up at their offices/work places and put their attendance but didn�t discharge their duties for the second consecutive day, informed the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP), which had launched the stir to press for the implementation of 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations.

Claiming 100 per cent success of the agitation, CoSAAP further informed that the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat was paralysed for the second day because of the strike. The CoSAAP extended its gratitude to all the State Government employees for their full participation in the agitation.

The CoSAAP, meanwhile, said it will launch the third phase of democratic movement in the form of indefinite pens & tools down strike from November 1 next if the government failed to fulfill its demands. � Correspondent
