In the first match defending champions Mangalam Monks thrashed new entrants Corner Kick Killers by the huge margin of 98 runs. The second encounter was a close one where News Live Riders defeated debutantes Terra Mayaa by 13 runs.
Opting to bat first Mangalam Monks piled up 175 for the loss of only 4 wickets in their 20 overs. Tarjinder Singh Dhillon top scored with 58 from 39 balls. Chasing the tough target Corner Kick folded up their innings at only 77 runs. In the second match, in reply to News Live�s 144 for 8, Terra Maaya put up a stiff fight but eventually caved in for 130 thus falling short by 14 runs.
