SRINAGAR, Oct 11: Militants on Thursday fired at and injured one Special Police Officer (SPO) in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district even as a cordon and search operation was underway in Kupwara, police said.
SPO Bilal Ahmad who was in Karimabad village of Pulwama has been shifted to a hospital, a police officer said.
Meanwhile, the security forces were engaged in a combing operation in Batgund village of Handwara tehsil in Kupwara following specific information about the presence of militants there. - IANS
